FORSYTH, Mo. – A man from High Ridge, Missouri is sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree burglary stemming from the theft of an Indian Point police vehicle back in March.

Thirty-eight-year-old Joshua Hutson is ordered to complete a long-term treatment program as part of his sentence.

Hutson was arrested by Taney County Sheriff’s Deputies after he reportedly stole the patrol cruiser during a traffic stop on Indian Point Road, then fled the scene and crashed the vehicle near The Vineyards condominiums in Branson.

Hutson originally faced three felony charges, including first-degree burglary, resisting arrest and tampering with a motor vehicle.
