Nearly 6,000 WRVRC Customers Lose Power Over Weekend

by Tim Church

BRANSON, Mo. – Power is restored to nearly six-thousand Whiter River Valley Electric Cooperative customers following a large scale power outage over the weekend.

Communications Coordinator Cassie Cunningham reports these outages were the result of heavy storms moving across their five county service area Friday afternoon:

Cunningham adds crews were out in force through the night and into the early morning hours Saturday restoring power to all affected areas.

Cunningham says she wants to remind all their customers, when they experience a power outage, to contact the Co-Op at 335-9333 and to stay turned to their online outage map, which can be found here.
