NORTHWEST ARK – Summer storms wipe out power for hundreds in North Arkansas this (Wednesday) morning.

Leah Walker, a spokesperson for North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, says about 15-hundred customers in Baxter County were without power for about two hours on Wednesday. She says the Buzzard Roost feeder, the West Lakeview Feeder and the Howard Creed feeder in Midway all failed due to some lightning heavy rains, and high winds.

Similarly, Entergy spokesperson Mark Martin says about 400 of their customers in Boone and Marion Counties had a power outages this morning due to the storm.

Both power providers say electricity should be restored to all customers.
