by Sam Clanton

FORSYTH, Mo. – If you want to cast a ballot in the upcoming August 2nd Primary Election, you need to register to vote by close of business this afternoon.

People can register to vote at their county courthouse, or at any Department of Motor Vehicles office in the area.

In addition, Missouri residents can register online through a website provided by the Secretary of State’s Office. Visit for more information.

Eligible voters must be 18 years of age by election day, and a current Missouri resident.

The August 2nd election includes several contested races in the Republican Primary for both Taney and Stone Counties. Most of these county office-seekers will not face Democratic opposition in November, so many of the races will be determined in August.
