BRANSON, Mo. – Crews will begin demolishing the Oak Ridge Boys Theater in Branson on Tuesday, making way for construction of the new Mercy Hospital Multi-Specialty Clinic.

Media Relations Specialist Brad Haller says Mercy took steps to ensure the theater’s decades-old legacy will live on, by repurposing some of the items from inside the 80-thousand square-foot building, including seating and lighting…

Haller says some of the theater’s outdoor features, including fencing and landscape items, have also been donated to various community groups for restoration.

He also points out the iconic venue served as a training ground for local law enforcement, as the Taney County Sheriff’s Department and Branson Police Department utilized the space for tactical drills this spring.
