CHADWICK, Mo. – The Chadwick School District in Christian County officially opens its new Early Childhood Education Center, made possible with a Community Development Block Grant authorized by the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

Up to 50 children in the school district now have access to the center’s early childhood education services, which are free for low-income families, and fee-based for additional families.

The new 54-hundred square-foot facility is attached to the K-12 building for ease of access, and in order to take advantage of existing kitchen facilities.

The grant totaling more than 930-thousand dollars is connected to the DED’s Missouri Start Smart initiative, which helps expand access to quality childhood education opportunities.

Christian County and Community Foundation of the Ozarks also partnered in the project.
