BRANSON, Mo. – The City of Branson Firefighters are urging the public to “Celebrate Safely” when purchasing and discharging fireworks over the Fourth of July Holiday Weekend.
In the City of Branson, fireworks may be purchased now through July 10th, and may only be discharged from 7 a.m. to Midnight on Sunday, July 3rd, and Saturday, July 4th.
Branson Fire Division Chief Randy Fogle joined Scott McCaulley for At Your Service on KRZK. He shares fires and injury are the two most common results when fireworks are not used properly:
In a news release from Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin, he reminds firework shooters to always purchase fireworks from a reliable fireworks stand that sell only Class C or one-point-four G fireworks.
He adds by following the label directions carefully, shooting fireworks off in a clear area outside, and keeping a water source nearby at all times, injuries and accidently set fires can be avoided.
If you or your family have any questions concerning fireworks and their safe usage, contact the Branson Fire Department’s Technical Services Division at (417) 243-2790.
