BRANSON, Mo. – The much anticipated Ballparks of America facility in Branson announces its Grand Opening celebration for Thursday, July 7th.
The first-of its kind, Ballparks of America is a 20-Milllion-dollar youth baseball stay-and-play tournament facility, where 10U through 13U youth travel teams can come and compete. Teams will also have access to big league amenities, including suites, big screen TV’s, individual lockers and private showers.
CEO Hamilton Chang says they have paid careful attention to a travel ball family’s real baseball experience and have created an environment not typically found at a baseball complex:
Gold Glove Chicago Cub center-fielder Bobby Dernier will also be in attendance for the grand opening festivities from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Following the July 7th, grand opening nearly 200 12U youth baseball players will arrive at Ballparks of America for the first week-long stay and play tournament experience. First pitch and welcoming ceremonies will take place on Saturday, July 9th, along with a whole line-up of activities.
Currently, only the Wrigley Field and Tiger Stadium ballparks are completed, but Chang say the remaining fields are scheduled for completion this fall.
