MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – A man from Springfield is behind bars after deputies respond to a disturbance call in Baxter County Tuesday morning.
Sheriff John Montgomery says authorities were dispatched to a home on County Road 481 near Mountain Home at 11:32 a.m. on Tuesday. The victim tells police 37-year-old Steven Gunn entered her home on false pretenses and when asked to leave, became irate, according to Montgomery.
Investigators say Gunn is accused of throwing a rock through the residences car, breaking both driver and passenger side windows, as well as chasing and threatening her. Jail logs show he is booked in the Baxter County Detention Center on felony charges of residential burglary, aggravated assault, and criminal mischief in the first degree.
His first court appearance is slated for Thursday, June 30th.
