by Sam Clanton

MT. VERNON, Mo. – A Stone County man is sentenced to seven years in prison for possession of methamphetamine.

Back in March, 46-year-old Timothy Stark of Billings was found guilty by a jury in Lawrence County, where his case was moved on a change of venue.

Stark and 45-year-old Paula Moore were arrested in April of 2014, after COMET Drug Task Force members executed a search warrant at his home on Brown Springs Road.

According to Stone County Prosecutor Matt Selby, officers located several baggies containing a white crystalline substance that later tested positive as meth.

Moore is currently serving a six-year prison term.

According to court records, Stark will be remanded to the custody of the Stone County Sheriff’s Office on July 5th, then transferred to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
