BRANSON, Mo. – One man is hospitalized for treatment of non life-threatening injuries and another man is arrested following a stabbing incident this (Friday) morning at Fall Creek Resort in Branson.
Police were called to a condominium near Lake Taneycomo after neighbors in the area reported an altercation involving a possible stabbing.
Branson Interim Police Chief Stan Dobbins says the victim and suspect have been acquainted for some time…
Dobbins says the victim sustained a large slash wound to his upper torso, resulting in moderate blood loss. He is being treated for his injuries at a Springfield hospital.
Dobbins says the suspect threw the knife into the lake before officers arrived, but later cooperated with police by pointing out the area where he disposed of the weapon.
A dive team with Western Taney County Fire Protection District is searching for the knife.
Dobbins says there is no further risk to the public at large, and he extends thanks to the residents who reported the incident.
The suspect will be identified after formal charges are filed.
