HARRISON, Ark. – The Ozark Humane Society is having an emergency adoption event on Saturday.
Mary Hickman, the Executive Director of the shelter says the building is at capacity right now and they need to find these dogs forever home soon:
She says not only is the shelter unable to take additional strays, but the staff is also getting overwhelmed with so many dogs to keep cool and comfortable during the summer months:
She says additionally, there will be free hot dogs and lemonade at the event and some fees may even be waived for dogs that have been at the pound for several months. Hickman adds people who can’t adopt a pet can still help by donating ten dollars to the current “ten for a friend” campaign going on right now.
The Emergency Adoption event will be held on Saturday at the Puppy Loce Pet Grooming in the Younes Shopping Center in Harrison from 10:00 am to 4:00 p.m.
