GALENA, Mo. – A couple from Reeds Spring accused of distributing marijuana and marijuana wax waives a preliminary hearing on Tuesday and is bound over to Stone County Circuit Court for arraignment.
Sixty-three-year-old James Garrett and 55-year-old Lisa Garrett were arrested by Stone County Sheriff’s Deputies after officers executed a search warrant at their home on Eagle Drive, northwest of Kimberling City, back in April.
According to Sheriff Doug Rader, officers seized 50 grams of processed marijuana, and 20 sheets of marijuana wax, weighing over a pound. He estimated the street value of these controlled substances to be approximately 120-thousand dollars.
The Garretts were booked in the Stone County Jail on 50-thousand dollars bond apiece, but were released several days later after posting reduced bonds of 25-hundred dollars.
Their arraignment hearings are set for August 2nd in Galena.
