BRANSON, Mo. – The Boys and Girls Club of the Ozarks announces legendary sports icon, Sugar Ray Leonard as the keynote speaker for its 2016 Thanks4Giving Gala on Thursday, November 10th, at the Branson Convention Center.
The annual gala serves as the major fundraiser for the year to raise funds for the upcoming operating year. In an interview with Hometown Daily News, Resource Development Director Krista McCullough shared why Leonard was selected as the Gala’s 2016 featured speaker:
In a release from the club, Leonard was only 7-year-old when he joined the Boys Club of Washington. It was also where he put on his first pair of boxing gloves, only to put them down after one round with a dominant opponent.
The Thanks4Giving Gala will offer a private cocktail reception for high-end sponsors, meet and greet opportunities with photographs, food and entertainment through the entire evening.
