BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Tax delinquent properties bring in more than 46-thouand dollars in Carroll County.
According to the Commission of State Lands, exactly 46,147 dollars and thirty-three cents have been collected from 10 parcels of property auctioned off to the general public this month.
These yearly auctions are all a part of an effort to sell parcels of land after the county office has unsuccessfully tried to collect taxes on it for two or more years.
The national commission’s release says last year alone, these sales gave back more than 20-million dollars to public schools and governments throughout the United States.
