Ozark Teen Charged DWI for Saddlebrooke Crash

SADDLEBROOKE, Mo. – An Ozark teenager is arrested and issued four separate charges after crashing his vehicle Friday night, three miles north of Saddlebrooke in Christian County.

State Troopers report 19-year-old Benjamin Belyayev was traveling northbound on U-S 65 at 11 p.m., when he lost control of his vehicle, ran across the median and overturned. He then ran his vehicle across the southbound lanes and hit a bluff.

Belyayev and a passenger in the vehicle, 15-year-old Devora Belyayev of Ozark, were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield to be treated for their respective moderate injuries.

According to the online crash report Devora was not wearing her seatbelt. An additional online arrest report shows Benjamin is being charged with felony vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked and careless and imprudent driving.
