BRANSON, Mo. – Taney County Partnership Executive Director Jonas Arjes is named the 2016 Professional Economic Developer of the Year by the Missouri Economic Development Council.

Arjes received the award this week during the council’s annual conference at Lake of the Ozarks.

Remarking on the award presentation, Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jeff Seifried says Arjes works diligently every day to support others first, and his efforts speak volumes to grow the 3-pont-4 billion dollar tourism economy in Southwest Missouri.

Seifried says Branson is undergoing a strong reinvestment cycle, with more than 300-million dollars in new investments this year. He says many of these projects were deemed undoable, however, with Arjes guiding business owners and investors, that trend has changed for the positive.
