HOLLISTER, Mo. – Hollister Elementary School is being awarded a five-year grant totaling more than 43-thousand dollars to adopt the Franklin Covey “Leader in Me” model.
Principal Amber Shuck says the model is built on a philosophy that everyone can be a leader, and works toward empowering students to lead their own learning.
She says students will be able to join leadership clubs that focus on responsibility, accountability and problem solving…
The grant is made possible by funding provided by the Panda Charitable Foundation.
Hollister Elementary is one of only about 3-thousand schools worldwide to become a “Leader in Me” school.
