BRANSON, Mo. – Stone County Presiding Commissioner Dennis Wood discusses a recent state audit and other important issues during a conversation with Scott McCaulley on KRZK’s At Your Service program.

Although the county received an overall performance rating of “poor” from the state, Wood points out the audit focused on procedural issues, not finances, adding that not one dime was found to be missing or misappropriated.

Responding to a specific question about issues relating to electronic data security as mentioned in the audit, Wood says he admits the county has been lax in certain areas, including maintaining adequate backup data and password protections…

Also during the radio interview, Wood shared his thoughts on the recent completion of the Kimberling City Bridge rehabilitation project, and the reopening of two-way traffic across the bridge…

Wood plans to retire from office at the end of his current term. He tells McCaulley he hopes to see the completion of a project to expand the Stone County Judicial Center before he leaves office.
