FORSYTH, Mo. – The second of two brothers charged in connection with a stabbing incident outside of a bar in Rockaway Beach is sentenced to 10 years in prison for assault, and a concurrent five-year term for armed criminal action.
Judge Laura Johnson sentenced 29-year-old Joseph Peterman of Merriam Woods to the maximum sentences contemplated by his plea agreement with the Taney County Prosecutor’s Office.
Peterman and his twin brother Joshua reportedly fought with and stabbed a man after leaving the bar in the early morning hours of August 15th, 2014. The brothers fled the scene when a taxi driver stopped to help the victim, and were not identified until several months later, when they returned to the same business.
Last month, Joshua Peterman also received concurrent sentences of 10 years for assault and five years for armed criminal action.
