BRANSON, Mo. – The Branson Landing Bass Pro Shops donates much-needed fishing gear to Kids Across America.

The gear, which included approximately two dozen gently-used rods and reels, was collected by Bass Pro as part of the nationwide “Gone Fishing” effort. Earlier this year, customers were able to trade in their used fishing gear for a discount on new gear.

Communications Director Elizabeth Hughes says such a donation has a direct impact on the campers who attend Kids Across America each summer:

Since the “Gone Fishing” program began, Bass Pro Shops has donated 32-thousand rods and reels to kids and organizations all across the U-S and Canada.

Kids Across America is a local Christian, sports camp for urban youth. Hughes adds the camp welcomes any donations that can assist them in the betterment of the camp experience.
