Search Turns Up Drugs, Guns in Carroll County

BERRYVILLE, Ark. – A man is in the Carroll County Detention Center after law enforcement officers execute a search warrant at his home on County Road 425.

According to Major George Frye with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, deputies assisted by Berryville and Green Forest police officers seized firearms, cash and numerous items of drug paraphernalia, along with scales, pills and a large quantity of marijuana seeds from the home of 41-year-old James William Carr, who was being investigated for illegal drug distribution.

Car was arrested and booked on charges of simultaneous possession of firearms and controlled substances, possession of firearms by certain persons, possession of drugs with intent to deliver, and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is being held on bonds totaling 25-thousand dollars.

Frye says additional arrests and charges are expected as a result of this investigation.
