LITTLE ROCK (May 31, 2016) — Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, Arkansas’s museum of African American history and culture, is pleased to announce its newest exhibit, “Foot Soldiers for Freedom: The Struggle for Civil Rights in Arkansas.”

This exhibit chronicles lesser-known events and the experiences of many everyday people that were part of the struggle for civil rights in Arkansas. “Foot Soldiers for Freedom” is the result of a collaborative effort between the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Humanities Council, the Black History Commission of Arkansas and many local and state historians and scholars.

MTCC will host the exhibit from June 3-July 13. Visitors are invited to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about what life was like in Arkansas during the Civil Rights Movement.
