Aurora Teen Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Crane

CRANE, Mo. – A teenager from Aurora is killed in a three vehicle crash involving a motorcycle Friday afternoon, in Stone County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 18-year-old Jordan Floyd was traveling westbound at Main Street, in Crane at 4:03 p.m., when he failed to stop the motorcycle he was operating at a stop sign and pulled into the path, and struck a southbound vehicle driven by 78-year-old Raymond Whitney of Crane.

Floyd then continued westbound and struck an eastbound vehicle head on, being driven by 31-year-old Robert Neely of Grand Junction, Colorado.

Floyd was pronounced dead at the scene by Stone County Deputy Coroner John Cunningham. Troop D reports this accident as its 50th fatality crash for 2016.
