MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – Results from Baxter County’s Holiday activity report are in.
Sheriff John Montgomery says this year was a relatively busy Memorial Day holiday weekend. According to the Baxter County dispatch center, crews received 119 complaints calls or calls for service from Friday through Monday.
In all, Montgomery says 27 people were booked into the county jail including 3 people charged with driving while intoxicated and 2 for boating while intoxicated. Additionally, six people were arrested for drugs or drug paraphernalia, four for domestic abuse, and 12 warrants were severed.
In a release about the weekend from the department, the sheriff’s office says deputies partnered with the US Army Corps of Engineer’s Park Rangers to patrol the full campgrounds near Norfork and Bull Shoals Lakes and the North Fork River.
