Teen Rescued After Falling Down Bluff in Stone County

SHELL KNOB, Mo. – A teenage girl is rescued by emergency personal after falling down a rock bluff Sunday morning, in Stone County.

The Central Crossing Fire Protection District in Shell Knob reports they were dispatched at approximately 10 a.m. to a report of a fall in a rural area off of Campers Point Road.

The girl had fallen 30 to 40 feet and landed onto a rock ledge. Central Crossing and Mercy EMS crew accessed the patient by ground before being placed onto a fire/rescue boat for transport to the shoreline where a helicopter was waiting to airlift her to a hospital in Springfield.
