MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – A teen from Mountain home is facing felony burglary charges following the theft of two valuable safes.

Authorities say they were called to a home at 69 Garfield Road in Mountain Home on May 24th with a report the resident’s screen door had been kicked in and two safes were missing. Sheriff John Montgomery says inside of the missing safes were prescription narcotics, firearms, and ammunition worth approximately 2,040 dollars.

Montgomery says 18-year-old Austin Denstedt was developed as a suspect and, following his arrest, he admitted to investigators his involvement. In the release from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery states Denstedt was not alone and additional arrests are anticipated.

Jail logs show Denstedt is being held in the county’s detention center on a 25-thousand dollar bond and will appear in court June 23rd.
