Press Release

by Jennifer Langford- City of Branson Communications Manager

Branson, Mo. – I wanted to reach out to all of you to let you know that the American flag and flag pole were badly damaged in a windstorm about a month ago. At that time, Springfield Neon and Sign scheduled its repair for June 2 which, unfortunately, prevents us from raising the flag this Memorial Day holiday.

The State of Missouri claims the Missouri flag is the next order of precedence to be flown, which the City of Branson is honoring. Since Branson is widely recognized for its commitment to our flag, we wanted to inform local citizens and businesses so that all are aware and able to respond to any inquiries that may come your way.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance in getting the word out to the community.  Feel free to reach out to me with any further questions.

Have a safe and happy holiday!

  1. Glad this was clarified as I was beginning to think Missouri had seceded from the Union.
