ROCKAWAY BEACH, Mo. – The City of Rockaway Beach welcomes a new business to Main Street this Memorial Day weekend.
On Saturday, Don’s Five and Dime is opening its doors with a special grand opening ceremony at 10 a.m.
Don’s is being decked out with a 1950’s theme and will offer patron’s custom made Rockaway Beach souvenirs, toys, soda, and a whole lot more, according to owner Amber Smith:
To celebrate the grand opening, food trucks and a handful of classic cars are parking outside the store front and Dockside Pub will be having live outdoor music in the afternoon.
Local artist Rick Revland, who painted the Captain Rags Island sign in the city park, also did the painting for the new business. Don’s Five and Dime is located at 2602 State Highway 176 in Rockaway Beach.
