HARRISON, Ark. – The Mercy Mall in Harrison is thanking the community for donating over 17-hundred pounds of food for its pantry, last weekend.
The Director of Mercy Mall, Julie Barns, says postal workers in Boone County partnered with them for the “Stamp out Hunger”:
She says this year’s food drive was a huge success, far surpassing any goals set. The “Stamp out Hunger” is a nation-wide program and one of the largest single-day food collection drives in the United States.
Mercy Mall is located at the Winkler Warehouse on Highway 43 in Harrison. Barns says the approximate total for food collected was 17,732 pounds of food.
