NIXA, Mo. – Two teenagers from Nixa are injured in a single vehicle crash on Wednesday night, in Christian County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 16-year-old Matthew Marshall was traveling southbound on Gregg Road, one mile south of Nixa at 7:45 p.m., when he left the roadway, struck a mailbox and a tree. The vehicle then overturned and ejected Marshall who, according to the online crash report was not wearing a seatbelt.
Marshall was transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield to be treated for his moderate injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 16-year-old Johnathan Hufft, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield where he was treated for his minor injuries.
