Two Aurora Residents Injured in Lawrence County Crash

AURORA, Mo. – Two residents from Aurora are injured in a single vehicle crash Sunday morning, in Lawrence County.

State Troopers say 19-year-old Tammy Cordero-Martines was traveling northbound on Route K, two miles north of Aurora at 10:56 a.m., when she travelled off of the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned.

Cordero-Martines and a passenger, 26-year-old Michael Williams, were transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield to be treated for their respective minor and moderate injuries.

According to the online crash report neither of the vehicles occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
