BRANSON, Mo. – The Taneyhills Community Library in Branson begins its construction on the Stanley and Elaine Ball Foundation Children’s Library and Technology Room remodel.
Publicity Chair Americanna Magness says constructions crews are currently working to reconfigure the downstairs entrance, meaning the lower level doors and the parking lot on College Street will be blocked off for a few weeks.
Magness adds in the coming weeks crews will also begin work on the new reading room, which will feature a “Woods” theme:”
A kiosk area with four children’s computers and two interactive touch screens and a technology room with several tables and computers for meetings or as a classroom are also part of this construction plan.
Magness says during this time, they ask that everyone enter the building by the 4th Street ramp, located under the Japanese maple tree on the west side of the building.
Construction should take two or three months to complete. The project is being funded through a 350-thousand-dollar grant from the Stanley and Elaine Ball Foundation.
