HARRISON, Ark. – People are invited to Carter’s Day at the downtown Harrison Square on Saturday.
Running the event, benefiting the Children’s Tumor Foundation, is Matt Duncan. His son, Carter, has a disease effecting his body’s ability to fight tumors and also creates certain learning disabilities.
Duncan says he would like to raise funds for the Children’s Tumor Foundation, so they can fight this currently incurable disease.
The event kicks off at 7:00 p.m., where folks will hear from a University of Arkansas doctor, who will talk about the Carter’s disease. Afterwards, Duncan says he will be raffling off locally sponsored prizes, as well as some Vera Bradly items.
At dust, the Boone County Courthouse will be lit in Blue and Green, as part of a national awareness day. Carter’s Day is a free and open event on Saturday at the Harrison downtown Square.
