HARRISON, Ark. – The Boone County Airport is getting a temporary 95-thousand dollar loan from the Boone County Quorum Court.
The Justices of the Peace made the decision at the most recent council meeting, after hearing from Airport Director Judy McCutcheon that the airport needs serious repairs to the roof of its hangers:
McCutcheon says the airport has already been approved for a grant that will cover the cost of the repairs, however, the grant terms are that the airport must spend the money to then get reimbursed.
She says once work starts, the project should be complete within a month.
The Boone County Justices of the Peace unanimously voted to approve the temporary transfer of funds.
