Holiday Island Man Facing Attempted Murder Charge

HOLIDAY ISLAND, Ark. – A Holiday Island Man is in critical condition, after police say his roommate stabbed him in the chest last night.

Major George Frye with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a home at 43 Woodsdale Drive in Holiday Island at about 2:00 a.m. to find 41-year-old Christopher Callison with a serious stab wound to the right side of his chest.

He says also at the residence, authorities found 51-year-old Douglas Ellingson…

 

 

Callison was taken by helicopter to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, while Ellingson was arrested on a preliminary attempted first degree murder felony, according to Frye.

Medical staff say the victim is listed as in critical condition.

Currently, Elllingson is behind bars at the Carroll County Detention Center, awaiting his first judicial hearing.
