NIXA, Mo. – Two women from Christian County receive moderate injuries in a two vehicle crash Monday night, one and a half miles north of Nixa.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 17-year-old Lisa Wobschall of Spokane was travelling southbound on U-S 160 at 11:40 p.m. when she crossed into the northbound lane and struck a northbound vehicle head-on, driven by 21-year-old Samantha Penkoff-Wilkins of Ozark.
Both women were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield to be treated for their respective moderate injuries. According to the online crash report Penkoff-Wilkins was not wearing her seatbelt and both drivers were tested for alcohol at the scene.
