BRANSON, Mo. – Competitors and spectators from across the U-S found themselves in Branson over the weekend for the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge.
Selected as one of the fifteen location qualifiers in the country, Branson hosted over 30 teams as they competed for a spot in the National Competition, being held in Reno, Nevada, in October.
Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin says the event received great reviews from all who were involved:
Public Information Officer Don Gregory shares the Branson four man team and the Branson relay teams all finished with really good times:
Both Martin and Gregory say they are hopeful Branson will be chosen as a location qualifier in the future. They add this event would not have been possible without the support of the community and the efforts of the Branson Chamber Sports Marketing team.
The winner of the National Competition in Reno will then move on to compete in the World Competition October 24th to the 29th, 2016 in Montgomery, Alabama.
