Arkansas Children’s Radiothon Raises Cash for Kids

HARRISON, Ark. – Just under 28-thousand dollars will be going to sick kids at Arkansas Children’s Hospital thanks to a radiothon held yesterday.

Circle of Friends and our sister station 102.9 the Z have partnered since the late 1980’s to do a 12-hour radiothon, with all proceeds going to help Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Cheri Humphrey, the elect chair of the hospital’s Circle of Friends organization says all donations will help to make hospital stays easier for both parents and children:

While the group did not make their 30-thousand dollar goal, volunteers will continue accepting donations:

In 2014, Arkansas Children’s Hospital saw 3,767 kids from Boone, Carroll, and Newton counties alone, with more than 107- thousand dollars in charity care provided to these counties, according to hospital officials.
