Vets Hold Clinics in NW Ark to Fight Rabies

by Shannon Cay

MARION/ BOONE – Pet owners in both Boone and Marion Counties have some opportunities over the weekend to get their pets vaccinated.

Marion County 4-H Agent Brian See is helping to run rabies vaccination events at two public spaces on Saturday morning.

He says at 9:30 a.m. vets will be at the Fairview Fire station and then at 10:30 a.m., they will travel to the Flippin High School Parking lot.

In Boone County, The 4-H Club will be hosting a week long rabies vaccination event at different clinics throughout the county, starting on Saturday. Those participating include the Boone County Veterinary Clinic, The Harrison Animal Clinic, and Affordable Veterinary Services.

He says pets are required to get a rabies vaccination at least once a year and this is an opportunity to do so at a reduced price.
