GALENA, Mo. – A joint investigation between the Stone County Sheriff’s Office and the COMET Drug Task Force leads to the seizure of over 120-thousand dollars worth of marijuana and marijuana wax.

Sheriff Doug Rader says the investigation began when officers seized five pounds of processed marijuana, which led to the execution of a search warrant at a rural residence located at 55 Eagle Drive, off of Welch Road in Stone County:

Rader says 63-year-old James Garrett and 55-year-old Lisa Garrett, who reside at the home, were taken into custody and later charged with felony distribution of a controlled substance.

Both are incarcerated in the Stone County Jail on 50-thousand dollars bond apiece.
