The Attorney General certified the wording of the proposal on Monday and now Mary Berry from Summit is asking people to sign the petition, calling for the legalization of cultivation, production, and distribution of both recreational and medical marijuana.
Additionally, the proposed amendment asks to release anyone serving prison time, parole, or probation for state marijuana offenses and expunging their convictions, as well as levying a 5 percent excises tax on the recreational pot.
