Theodosia Man Injured in Ozark Co. Crash

THEODOSIA, Mo. – A man from Theodosia is injured in a two vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon, five miles southwest of Theodosia in Ozark County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 29-year-old Albert Stanford of Theodosia was traveling northbound on Missouri Route P at 4:15 p.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control of his vehicle, skidded across the centerline and struck a southbound vehicle head-on.

The driver of the southbound vehicle, 58-year-old Mark Lavette, was transported by helicopter to Baxter Regional Hospital in Mountain Home, Arkansas to be treated for his moderate injuries.

While Lavette was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, Stanford was not, according to the online crash report.
