REEDS SPRING, Mo. – The EarthWise Recycling Center is hosting a community appreciation event this Saturday in celebration of Earth Day.
The community is encouraged to bring all common recyclables including paper, magazines and phone books, steel, tin and aluminum products and plastics marked with a recycling symbol to the Earth Day celebration. These items do not need to be sorted prior to donation, however cardboard, glass and electronic waste should all be sorted separately.
Most electronic waste will be recycled free of charge, however 15 to 20-dollar fees for tube TV’s, microwaves, and CFL bulbs and batteries will be charged.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to Noon, at the recycling center location at 24 Wolf Pack Lane, near the Reeds Spring Elementary School. Hamburgers and hotdogs will also be served beginning at 10:30 a.m.
