HOLLISTER, Mo. – Over 50 people downtown merchants, the City of Hollister, several area business, service organizations and members of the community members participated in the 5th Annual Revive 65, downtown revitalization event on Saturday.

Through the morning volunteers worked to renew old flower beds and remove litter and debris from along Downing Street, Birdcage Walk and Business 65 from Gray Street to Whitehall.

Hollister Mayor David Tate discusses the importance of hosting such an event in Hollister each spring:

Volunteers worked from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and were rewarded for their hard work with lunch. Tate adds he wants to remind everyone in Hollister and the surrounding communities of Hollister’s upcoming Hat-titdue Ball on Friday, April 29th, at The Keeter Center.

More information on Revive 65 and the Hat-titude Ball can be found here.
