BRANSON, Mo. – The body of a deceased unidentified person is discovered at the site of this (Thursday) mornings Hillbilly Inn Restaurant fire.

City of Branson Communications Manager Jennifer Langford confirmed the body discovery, but says there is no information at this time as to the identity of the remains.

Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin says at approximately 4:41 a.m., Branson Fire-Rescue crews were dispatched to the restaurant on Highway 76 in Branson, near Stanley Boulevard:

Ted Martin L745                             .22                       “of it as well”

Martin reports the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, but the investigation is ongoing. Martin adds the property has been vacant for several years, since the Leap Day Tornado in 2012

For safety reasons several roads were closed until crews could clear the scene, including 76 and Roark Valley Road, 76 and Stanley Boulevard and 76 and Fall Creek Road. Western Taney County, Southern Stone County and College of the Ozarks fire departments all provided mutual aid to the scene.
