JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri’s unemployment rate for March holds steady at 4-point-2 percent, while the national average remains 5-percent.

Several industries added jobs last month, including trade, transportation & utilities, financial activities, and accommodation & food services.

Over the past year, the number of jobless Missourians has dropped by more than 30-thousand, or just over one percentage point, according to the state Department of Economic Development.
