HARRISON, Ark. – A not for profit in Harrison is attempting to help the local city-run animal shelter by fostering abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs.
Suzie Henry officially started the group Northwest Arkansas Rescue for Canines in October, but since then, she says the need for her services has grown tremendously:
She says currently, she one of few foster parents for these dogs, who may need a little extra help…
She says all food, supplies, and necessary medical expenses for the dogs are taken care of by the not for profit group, before entering into a foster home. Henry adds she could save more dogs, if more people could temporarily house and love these transitioning pets.
She says she is hosting an adoption event for 8, 11-week-old abandoned puppies at 814 E Prospect Ave in Harrison from noon to four on Saturday. Anyone who has question about fostering dogs or would like to adopt is welcome to attend.
