HARRISON, Ark. – The Harrison Regional Circle of Friends is gearing up for their annual radio-a-thon on our sister station 102.9 the Z and AM 900, on May 5th.
Last year’s event raised just over 32-thousand dollars for Arkansas Children’s Hospital and this year volunteers with the local Circle of Friends Chapter hope to go beyond that goal for local sick kids.
In the meantime, Cheri Humphrey the new elect board chair for the group says she would like to get membership and attendance up for their next few meetings in preparation for the fundraising event.
In the 2015 year, the Greater Harrison Circle of Friends chapter raised approximately $78,000 for the hospital and has a goal of $82,500 for this year. Humphrey says the chapter would like to have 60 members this year.
Meetings are the 1st Tuesday of every month at 12 p.m. in the front room at Western Sizzlin’.
