HARRISON, Ark. – After 75 years of serving the community, the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce promises to deliver at its annual awards luncheon on Tuesday.
Chamber President and CEO, Patty Methvin says the winners of the “delivery themed” awards this year include some of the most humble people from the community, who would otherwise go unrecognized.
She says a new award was given this year, in honor of the late board Chair Terry Stambaugh, a prominent community member who passed away in a car accident last year.
There were about 450 people at the awards banquet.
Winners from Tuesday’s event include:
THE TERRY STAMBAUGH MERIT AWARD: Bob Dotson
SPIRIT OF BOONE COUNTY SERVICE AWARD: Luke Feightert
LEADERSHIP IN SMALL BUSINESS AWARD: Dr. Steve Shrum
RISING START OF HONOR: Kim Jennett
CHAMBER PRESIDENTS AWARD: Georgie Patton
CHAMBER CHAIRMAN AWARD: Tiffany Watkins
JIM DEVITO TOURISM AWARD: Robin Reeves
FARM FAMILY OF THE YEAR: The Widner Family
